We have good news for all slimming. The fluctuations observed on the bathroom scales do not necessarily have to be the fault of a bad diet or a sedentary lifestyle. Responsible for not being gravity, or actually it is difficult to correct it. It turns out that scientists have a great deal of difficulty estimating the value of the gravitational constant, and hence the weight of every body in space, including ourselves.
Gravitation is one of the elemental interactions in the universe that all objects of any mass attract each other. The force of gravity is, however, the most puzzling of all the forces that govern our world. It is well known that gravity occurs but no one knows what it “moves”. That is why hypothetical particles, called gravitons, which have neither mass nor charge, are hypothetical, and they are hypothetical carriers of gravity.
Although physicists still do not know much about the most important force in the universe, we can calculate that force, depending on the mass of the bodies and the distance between them.
The entire ambaras that is now set up is associated with the letter G in the above formula, which represents the aforementioned gravity constant first designated in 1798 by Henry Cavendish. Why is this one letter in the formula so important? Thanks to it, it is possible, for example, to determine the weight of any body on Earth. Without knowing the constant gravity, and also the value of acceleration (g), any weight determination was based on contractual values and comparisons between particular bodies.
As reported by RMF FM, researchers from the International Bureau of Metrics and Wag have recalculated the value of constant gravity, which deviates from the one we now accept. Obviously the differences are average for the average person because they are worth one millionths, but for physicists who do measurements to the tenth or fifteenth decimal point, this is quite significant.
Where do these discrepancies? Well, they may come from the research methodology itself. Gravity is relatively weak, so it is very difficult to make precise measurements. Interestingly, the method of the 18th century, slightly improved at the end of the nineteenth century, is used to determine the constant gravity. This is a device called twisting weights, you can see them below.
To measure the value of the attraction, a weight of two equal masses at the ends of a light, horizontal beam suspended on a thin, twisted thread was created. Spiral threads are measured and the force value is determined by them. The gravitational force between two even very heavy objects on the surface of the Earth is negligible compared to the attraction of the planet itself. Therefore, the device must be very precise. The problem is so mundane phenomena like a gust of wind that would disturb the weight display.
To eliminate these abnormalities, the devices are tightly built so that the twisting of the threads is only caused by the force of attraction. Due to the test methodology itself, typical hardware errors may have occurred, but the result obtained now is identical to that obtained by another group of researchers 12 years ago. Therefore, the question arises whether the value of the constant gravity is not constant and cyclical. This is yet another of the many questions that can be added to the unknowns of physics, which at first glance seems completely detached from reality, but in practice it has a key impact on our lives, although we do not always realize it.
